Fender  Custom  Shop

Since 1987, the Fender Custom Shop has been a "dream factory," producing guitars that are to playing what Ferraris are to driving. The skilled craftsmen in Fender's Corona, Calif., Custom Shop are known worldwide for their artistry in making guitars that range from the fine to the fantastic. Whether it's building a new custom instrument from the ground up or modifying an existing one, their best is the best. Fender Custom Shop instruments have been crafted for and with the input of the world's finest players-names like Clapton, Beck, Burton, Cray, Gilmour, Townshend and Vaughan, to name just a few. To cut it short, Fender Custom Shop guitars are the Finest guitars Fender EVER MADE. Yes they cost more, but you get what you pay for. Guitar Boutique hand picks every Custom Shop we offer just as Fender Custom Shop does, so get the best of the best. Just think of that dream date, or one of the best days in your life. That's just what Fender delivers with a Custom Shop. Check here and you can also call for our newest arrivals in the herd.

       Fender CS Treatments

Fender Relic-  There and back and still here today. The authentic worn-in wear of a guitar that has experienced many years of regular use in clubs and bars. Marks that tell a story, finish checking all over the body, and scars, dings and dents from bridge to headstock.

Fender Heavy Relic-  Hard fought wear and tear.
The heaviest of the Custom Shop relic treatments, designed to evoke decades of the most punishing play and touring. From serious dinging and wear to intensely discolored hardware and finish, the true battle-hardened workhorse of the Custom Shop collection.

Fender Closet Classic-  Kept in a case most of its life and perhaps even forgotten. No real playing wear, but more subtle indications of the ages, such as a finish that has lost its sheen, mild discoloration of plastic parts, metal hardware showing slight oxidation, and minor surface scratches on the body and headstock.

Fender Custom Shop NOS- (New Old Stock)-  As it was bought NEW that year.  Models from the past that have survived to the present day looking brand new. An all-lacquer finish that looks as if it hasn’t aged at all. As if you went back in time and bought it.

Fender Journeyman Relic-  Used but not abused. Handed down or changed hands through the years, but mostly played around the house, with the occasional jam session or weekend gig. Has been well taken care of over the years but has finish checking, some “friendly” down-to-the-wood nicks and dings, dull hardware, and moderate playing wear, a very lucky find.
